I feel like I’ve been neglecting this blog quite a lot lately. I guess life has it’s way of interrupting with
important stuff like computer time. That plus I’ve been pretty much sick for 2 weeks straight, so energy-wise I’m quite low now. On Sunday Tatiana and I walked over to the Big. It’s an outlet-y shopping area, and it’s huge. We did some rather good shopping, and I ended up buying a very classy new black dress with lace, a fun shirt, a lovely purse AAAAnnnd a basketball!! I decided that once I get this ridiculous flu out of my way, I will start shooting some hoop. It runs in the genes. I mean playing basketball, not the flu.
Today I have a day off, which I’m happy for for two reasons: 1) I can rest and paint. 2) There’s a sand storm outside. In the picture below you would see the city in the back, if it were a clear day (the picture is not photoshopped). Crazy, huh? You know how every day you learn something new? Today I learned you should never walk outside with your mouth open if there’s a sand storm.
Tatiana and I have been experimenting with nail polish a lot lately. I didn’t even realize that you could mix and make your own colors, but we tried it out and had some very delightful results. We felt like scientists with all our samples 🙂 There was one particular color that I got from mixing a light blue and a bright pink, and I totally fell in love with the result:
I also got the painting of Tatiana’s little nephew, Teddy, ready! It came out great. Babies are very hard to paint because of their body proportions and expressions, but I think the portrait came out quite good! What do you think?
So, if you’ll excuse me now, I’m off to work on another portrait! Hopefully there will be some results of the next one for me to post in a while 🙂
